The holidaymaker will find this an ideal centre from which to enjoy the combined delights of coast and country. The coastal pleasures start less than a mile away at Newport, a small but historic town with its own castle, bathing beaches, boating and a fine golf course.

From here the coastal path stretches for 174 miles through the Pembrokeshire National Park and provides wonderful walking from any one of its numerous access points. Added to the scenic pleasures are the abundance of flowers and wildlife for which the country is renowned, and for those who enjoy life afloat there are many sailing and boating centres around the coast.
